Although Portugal is a small country, with a distance to the shore that doesn’t exceed 250km, it lives situations of interiority.

In this tour, from the coast into land, some architectural works will be revealed in which the attachment to land and tradition cannot be obviously seen but through the critical incorporation of such values into the architectural work. From Vila Nova de Gaia where the Quebrantões Chapel could be seen up to Marco, passing by the Gondomar Sports Pavilion, we can see two works by Siza and a work by José Fernando Gonçalves.

Thus, when we look at the landscape, from the coast to the interior, we understand it also as a corollary of the evolutionary process and as a mirror for other transformations.
