Souto Moura in Minho

Sometimes architecture, in perfect harmony with planning, landscapes, memories and history, can create spaces that have a soul, magical spaces.

We will visit the Luxury Hotel de Santa Maria do Bouro, within the best of Minho’s landscape, and where Eduardo Souto Moura wisely silenced his intervention to let the soul of the place speak.

At Braga, two other works of Souto Moura expect us: the Cultural Market Carandá and the Municipal Football Stadium. The Market, in the city centre, tells us an already long story of successive programmatic readaptations. The stadium, built from scratch for the Euro 2004, fits wisely in a quarry, to welcome the crowds on game days.
